A scanner built for people who dread scanners.

A conventional MRI is a long, narrow tunnel. Our wide-bore Open MRI gives you noticeably more space around your head and body — which makes a real difference if enclosed spaces make you anxious, if you are a larger patient, or if you are bringing a child or an elderly parent.

What makes an Open MRI different from a normal MRI?+

A conventional MRI is a long, narrow tunnel. A wide-bore Open MRI has a noticeably larger opening and shorter bore, so there is more space around you. Patients who feel anxious in enclosed spaces, larger patients, and those who need a family member close by usually find it much easier. Image quality is not compromised.

How long does an MRI or CT take?+

A CT scan usually takes only a few minutes of scanning time, though registration and preparation add to the visit. An MRI typically takes 20 to 45 minutes depending on the body part and whether contrast is used. Our team will tell you what to expect for your specific scan when you book.

Can I have an MRI if I have a pacemaker or metal implant?+

This needs to be checked before your appointment. Some implants are MRI-safe and some are not, and it depends on the device and its model. Please tell us at the time of booking and carry any documents about your implant. If MRI is not suitable, a CT scan may be an alternative — your doctor and our radiologist will advise.

Do I need to fast before an MRI or CT?+

For most plain scans, no fasting is needed. For contrast-enhanced studies and certain abdominal scans, a few hours of fasting is usually advised. Our team calls or messages you the preparation specific to your scan before your appointment, and you can always confirm on 9555999960.

How soon will I get my report?+

Most MRI and CT reports are ready the same day, and scans done earlier in the day are usually reported by evening. Reports can be shared digitally as well as in print, and images can be provided on CD or drive if your doctor needs the full dataset. Urgent cases can be prioritised — tell us while booking.
