Breast health screening that is private, painless and radiation-free.
Thermalytix® by Niramai uses a thermal camera and AI to check the breast for unusual heat patterns. Nobody touches you, nothing presses the breast, and no X-rays are used. The test takes about 15–20 minutes and is available at all three Edge Imaging & Diagnostics centres in West Delhi: Bhera Enclave (Paschim Vihar), Raghubir Nagar and Moti Nagar.
₹999 with the Thermalytix 180 report · ₹1,699 with the 360 report, which includes thermal images. Compare the two

Most women put off a breast check for reasons that have nothing to do with health.
Embarrassment, fear of pain and worry about radiation stop many women from getting checked at all. Thermalytix was designed around these worries.
- “I don’t want anyone to see or touch me.”The images are captured in a private screening area. The technician runs the camera from outside it, and nothing touches the breast.
- “I have heard it hurts.”There is no pressing, no compression and no needle. You sit comfortably for a few minutes.
- “I am worried about radiation.”The camera only reads the heat coming from the skin. It sends nothing into the body.
- “I don’t have time.”The whole screening takes about 15–20 minutes.
Three steps, about 15–20 minutes.
Changes in breast tissue can alter blood flow and skin temperature. Thermalytix records the heat pattern of the chest and uses artificial intelligence to flag areas that may need a closer look.
STEP 01A short talk with a female technician
She explains the test, notes your history and answers your questions.
STEP 02A few minutes of cooling, in private
A cool-air unit gently settles the skin temperature of the chest so the images are reliable.
STEP 03Thermal images and a certified report
The camera captures images from a few angles. The AI prepares a breast health report, which a radiologist reviews and certifies.

One screening, two report options.
The test is exactly the same whichever option you choose: the same 15–20 minute screening, the same AI analysis, and a report that is reviewed and certified by a radiologist. The only difference is whether the annotated thermal images are included in your report.

Your report, and what happens next.
Your report is reviewed and certified by a radiologist. It gives a B-Score, an impression for each breast and a recommendation. Most women are told no further test is needed now. If a follow-up is recommended, it does not mean you have cancer. It means a closer look is advised, and Edge Imaging can usually help with that next step.

If a follow-up is recommended
- Show the report to your doctor, who will usually examine you.
- A breast ultrasound (sonomammography) is often the next test, and it is available at Edge Imaging.
- Your doctor may also advise a mammogram.
- If a sample is ever needed, image-guided FNAC and biopsy are done at our Raghubir Nagar centre on your doctor’s referral.
Understanding your B-Score
Every Thermalytix report includes a B-Score from 0 to 5 and a reference guide. Niramai notes that it is somewhat similar to the BI-RADS scale used in mammography and breast ultrasound reports. In simple terms, according to Niramai’s guide:
| B-Score | What it generally means |
|---|---|
| 1 | No abnormal thermal activity seen. Continue monthly self-checks and annual screening, and see a doctor if any symptom appears. |
| 2 | Low level of concern. Continue self-checks and annual screening. If you have noticed a lump or nipple discharge, tell the technician so that it is recorded correctly. |
| 3 | Some irregular thermal activity. If your period was close to the test date, a repeat test in the middle of your cycle may be advised. With risk factors or symptoms, a breast ultrasound is recommended; otherwise a repeat screening in 3–6 months. |
| 4 | Thermal abnormality seen. A mammogram or breast ultrasound and a doctor’s consultation are advised. |
| 5 | Thermal abnormality seen. A mammogram or breast ultrasound and a doctor’s consultation are strongly advised. |
| 0 | May be seen during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Discuss the report with your doctor. |
This guide only helps you read your report. Decisions about your care should always be made with a doctor.
Worth considering if you are…

Before you are due for a mammogram, and you would like a radiation-free check.
From a family with breast cancer
Niramai especially recommends the test when there is a family history or other concern.
Uneasy about touch or exposure
A female technician guides you, and images are captured in private.
Short on time
About 15–20 minutes for the whole screening.

Niramai states that Thermalytix is CE-marked (0297) for Europe, Africa and Asia, approved by CDSCO in India (Class C), and certified to ISO 13485:2016 for medical devices and ISO 27001 for information security. It is protected by more than 39 granted patents.

Answered, clearly.
Is the Thermalytix test painful?
No. You sit comfortably while a camera captures images from a distance. Nothing presses or squeezes the breast, and there are no needles.
Does it use any radiation?
No. The thermal camera only measures the heat given off by the skin. It does not use X-rays.
Who will be with me during the test?
A trained female technician guides you. The images are captured in a private screening area.
Is it a replacement for a mammogram?
No. If your doctor has advised a mammogram, please have it. Thermalytix is a radiation-free screening option that is used alongside mammography, not instead of it.
I have found a lump. Should I book this test?
Please see a doctor first. A new lump or other breast symptom needs a clinical examination and diagnostic imaging such as a breast ultrasound. Most lumps turn out not to be cancer, but each one should be checked properly.
How should I prepare?
Our team will share instructions when you book. For thermal imaging, women are commonly asked to avoid lotion, powder or deodorant on the chest and underarms on the day, to avoid heavy exercise or a hot shower just before the test, and to wear a two-piece outfit. Please tell us the date of your last period when you book; if possible, choose a day around the middle of your cycle rather than during or just before your period. Also tell us if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, on hormone therapy, have had breast surgery or have any breast symptoms, so that these details are recorded correctly in your report.
What does the test cost?
₹999 with the Thermalytix 180 report and ₹1,699 with the Thermalytix 360 report. The screening is the same; the 360 report adds a page of annotated thermal images. Call or WhatsApp 9555999960 to book your slot.
What is the difference between Thermalytix 180 and 360?
Both reports carry the same B-Score, scores, findings, impression and recommendation, and both are certified by a radiologist. The 180 report has 4 pages. The 360 report has 5 pages because it adds the annotated thermal images: the best view in grayscale plus front, lateral and AP-lateral views of both breasts.
Can I get the thermal images later if I choose the 180 report?
Yes. Our team can help you request the annotated images from Niramai. An additional charge applies, so choose the 360 report if you already know you want them.
Who checks my report?
The AI analyses the thermal images and prepares the report, which is then reviewed and certified by a radiologist before it is shared with you.
