GAMCA / WAFID Pre-Medical Test in Delhi Know where you stand before your official Gulf medical

Going to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain or another GCC country for work? Take the same set of tests that the GCC (GAMCA / WAFID) medical checks — chest X-ray, HIV, hepatitis B and C, sugar, malaria and more — at our West Delhi centre for ₹4,999, with your report the same day. If something shows up, you find out privately and can get it treated before you book your official medical.

We are not a GAMCA / WAFID-approved centre. This is a private pre-check — your official medical is still done at an approved centre booked on wafid.com.

Edge Imaging & Diagnostics is not a GAMCA, WAFID or Gulf Health Council (GHC)-approved medical centre. We do not issue GCC / WAFID slips, fitness certificates or WAFID results, and our report cannot be used for your visa. Only GHC-accredited centres booked through the official WAFID system at wafid.com can do your official medical.

Our pre-medical is a private health check that uses the same tests, so you see your own results first. No clinic can promise the result of your official medical — that decision is made only by the approved centre.

Why check first

Why take a pre-medical before your GAMCA / WAFID test?

An “unfit” result in the official GCC medical is not a small setback. Here is what it can cost you, and why finding problems a few weeks earlier helps.

The result follows your passport

Official results are stored in the central WAFID system and can be looked up with your passport number.

You cannot re-test straight away

WAFID allows a new appointment only about 2 months after the date of the earlier report, and some reports mention 3 months. Your job offer may not wait that long.

Money and time are lost

The medical fee, WAFID booking fee, agent charges and travel to the centre are spent again if you have to repeat the process.

Many problems are treatable

High sugar, high blood pressure, severe anaemia, malaria and some infections can often be treated or controlled — if you know about them in time.

Going straight to the official medical

  1. Pay the WAFID booking fee and the approved centre’s exam fee
  2. Learn about a health problem for the first time at the centre
  3. Declared unfit — the result is linked to your passport in WAFID
  4. Wait about 2 months for a new appointment, then pay again

Money and time lost, and the job offer may not wait.

Pre-medical first

  1. Pre-medical at Edge Imaging: ₹4,999, report the same day
  2. Something treatable? Get it treated and re-checked
  3. Book on wafid.com when your results look clear
  4. Walk into the official medical knowing where you stand

You find out privately, before you spend on the official fees.

GAMCA medical test list: what our pre-medical includes

Our panel follows the tests listed for the GCC expatriate medical in the Gulf Health Council regulations, so you see the same results the approved centre will look at.

Doctor’s examination

Height, weight, blood pressure, pulse and a general and systemic examination by a doctor.

Eyesight & colour vision

Visual acuity and a colour-vision check.

Digital chest X-ray

Reported by a radiologist, looking for signs of TB, old scars, fibrosis, calcification or fluid.

Infection screening

HIV 1 & 2, hepatitis B (HBsAg), hepatitis C (anti-HCV) and VDRL for syphilis, with TPHA if VDRL is positive.

Blood tests

CBC with haemoglobin, malaria and filaria smear, blood sugar, liver function test (LFT) and kidney function test.

Urine & stool tests

Urine routine (including sugar and albumin) and stool routine for ova and parasites.

Pregnancy test

For women, because pregnancy is a reason for an unfit result for a work visa.

Your report, explained

A doctor goes through every result with you and tells you what, if anything, needs attention.

The official GCC test list is set by the Gulf Health Council and is updated from time to time; some countries add their own requirements. Tell us your destination country on WhatsApp and we will confirm the panel before you visit.

Know the system

GAMCA and WAFID: what the official GCC medical is

GAMCA stands for GCC Approved Medical Centres Association — the name long used in India for the centres that do the medical for Gulf visas. Today the programme is run by the Gulf Health Council under the name WAFID, and appointments are booked online at wafid.com. The GCC expatriate medical programme has been in place since 1995.

The WAFID booking form lists Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE and Yemen, for work, family and study visas. Qatar-bound workers in India usually complete their medical through the Qatar Visa Centre, and for the UAE the residence medical is done in the UAE — always confirm the requirement with your employer or agent. Country-by-country details are in our Gulf visa medical guide.

How the GAMCA / WAFID medical works in 2026

Where the pre-medical fits: before step 2, so there is still time to act on your results. Prefer Hinglish? Read GAMCA medical kaise hota hai.

  1. Step 01

Get your job offer or visa

Your employer or agent tells you which country and visa type the medical is for.

  2. Before booking

    Take the pre-medical

Check the full panel at Edge Imaging and treat anything that needs attention.

  3. Step 02

    Book on wafid.com

Choose the country and city, enter your passport details and pay the booking fee. You receive an appointment slip.

  4. Step 03

    Attend the assigned centre

Carry your passport, the slip and the documents the centre asks for. The medical is done the same way as your pre-check.

  5. Step 04

    Check your status

Results are uploaded to the WAFID system. You can check them on wafid.com with your passport or slip number — see how.

  6. Step 05

    Travel within validity

The certificate is valid for 2 months. GCC countries also do a medical after you arrive for your residence permit.

Unfit reasons

Which unfit findings can a pre-medical catch in time?

These are the findings the GCC rules treat as unfit. Some are permanent; others can be treated or controlled if they are found early. This is exactly what the pre-medical is for.

FindingOfficial GCC ruleCan it be fixed before your medical?
HIV positiveUnfitNo. We counsel you confidentially and guide you to treatment.
Hepatitis B (HBsAg positive)UnfitNo. See a liver specialist for evaluation and care.
Hepatitis C (anti-HCV positive)UnfitUsually not for GCC purposes — the antibody can stay positive even after treatment. Get evaluated early.
Chest X-ray: active or past TB, scars, fibrosis, calcification, fluidUnfitActive TB needs full treatment. Old scars usually remain, so it is better to know before you pay for the official medical.
Malaria or filaria in the blood smearUnfitOften yes Treatable — get treated and re-tested.
Uncontrolled diabetesUnfit if uncontrolledOften yes Bring your sugar under control with your doctor.
Uncontrolled high blood pressureUnfit if uncontrolledOften yes With treatment and regular monitoring.
Severe anaemia (haemoglobin below 7 g/dL)UnfitOften yes Find and treat the cause.
PregnancyUnfit for a work visaPlan the timing of your medical with your doctor.
Kidney, liver or heart failure; cancerUnfitNo. These need specialist care.
Leprosy, serious psychiatric or neurological disorders, a disability that affects workUnfitDepends on the condition — discuss it with a specialist.
Syphilis (VDRL/TPHA), urine sugar or albumin, stool parasitesChecked; judged by the centreUsually yes Treat before the official test.

Based on the Gulf Health Council regulations for expatriate medical examination (6th version, 2021) and the WAFID FAQ. Newer GHC regulations came into force in Kuwait in May 2026, so details can change by country. The approved centre’s decision is final. Read our full guides to GAMCA medical unfit reasons and the chest X-ray and TB scars.

After your pre-medical: what next?

Your report points you down one of three paths.

Your pre-medical report (same day)
All clear

Nothing of concern found

Your results are within the limits the GCC medical looks for.

Next: book your official medical on wafid.com.

Treatable

High sugar, BP, anaemia, malaria, infections

These can often be treated or controlled in the weeks before your medical.

Next: get treated, re-check with us, then book.

Unfit under GCC rules

HIV, hepatitis B or C, TB scars

These usually stay unfit at the official medical, even after treatment.

Next: see a specialist before you spend on visa medical fees.

What the pre-medical can do

  • Show you the same results the approved centre will check
  • Find treatable problems early — sugar, BP, anaemia, malaria, infections
  • Keep your result private: the report is given only to you
  • Help you avoid wasted fees and a waiting period if you would be found unfit
  • Let you walk into the official medical with confidence

What it cannot do

  • It is not a GCC / WAFID certificate and is not accepted for a visa
  • It cannot guarantee your official result — only the approved centre decides
  • It cannot change a permanent finding such as HIV, hepatitis B or C, or an old TB scar
  • It does not replace your own doctor’s treatment if something is found

Your health comes first. If we find something serious, we explain it to you in private and guide you to the right specialist.

Fees in India

GAMCA / WAFID medical fees in India (2026)

WAFID does not publish one fixed medical fee for India, and centres can change their charges. These are the figures available in October 2026:

  • WAFID booking fee (wafid.com)US$10 standard / US$25 premium
  • Approved-centre medical exam (reported)₹7,500–8,500
  • Edge Imaging GCC pre-medical₹4,999

Exam fees above are reported by travel and visa guide sites, not by WAFID; some report lower figures. Check the current fee on wafid.com and with your assigned centre.

With us

How the pre-medical works at Edge Imaging

  1. Step 01

    Book on WhatsApp

Message 9599941470 with your destination country and, if you have one, the date of your official medical.

  2. Step 02

    Come fasting

Fast for 8–10 hours (plain water is fine) and visit our Raghubir Nagar centre with a photo ID.

  3. Step 03

    All tests in one visit

Doctor’s examination, chest X-ray, blood, urine and stool tests under one roof.

  4. Step 04

    Same-day report

Your report is ready the same day. A doctor explains every finding and the next step.

How to prepare for the medical

  • Fast 8–10 hours before the blood tests; plain water is fine
  • Avoid alcohol, smoking and heavy meals for 24–48 hours before
  • Sleep well and rest for a few minutes on arrival so your BP reading is steady
  • Keep taking your regular medicines as prescribed, and bring the prescriptions
  • Bring old X-rays and reports, especially if you ever had TB, jaundice or surgery
  • Bring your glasses if you use them

Who should take the pre-medical

  • First-time applicants for a Gulf job who have not had a full check-up recently
  • Anyone who was declared unfit before and wants to check again before re-booking
  • People with diabetes, high BP or a history of TB, jaundice or anaemia
  • Workers going back for a new visa after a gap of a few years
  • Anyone paying a large agent fee who does not want to risk it on an unfit result

Beware of “guaranteed fit” offers

Only an approved centre can upload a GCC medical result, and no one can honestly guarantee a “fit” certificate. In 2024–25 police in Kerala uncovered a racket in which a medical centre’s WAFID logins were misused to sell fake “fit” certificates through agents. GCC countries also test you again after you arrive, so a fake certificate can cost you the job and the visa.

We never sell certificates or change results. We give you honest results so you can fix what can be fixed.

Hinglish me samjhein

GAMCA pre-medical kya hai aur kyun zaroori hai?

Gulf (Saudi, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain aadi) jaane se pehle GAMCA / WAFID approved centre par medical hota hai. Agar usme aap unfit aate hain, to result WAFID system me aapke passport se jud jaata hai, naya medical lagbhag 2 mahine baad hi book ho paata hai, aur fees, agent ka kharcha aur samay sab bekaar ho jaata hai.

Isliye hum ₹4,999 me wahi saare tests pehle karte hain — chest X-ray, HIV, Hepatitis B aur C, VDRL, sugar, malaria, CBC, LFT, kidney test, urine, stool, aur mahilaon ke liye pregnancy test. Report usi din mil jaati hai, aur sirf aapko milti hai, kahin upload nahi hoti. Agar sugar, BP, khoon ki kami ya malaria jaisi koi problem aati hai, to aap pehle ilaaj karwa sakte hain aur phir confidence ke saath official medical de sakte hain.

Dhyaan dein: hum GAMCA / WAFID approved centre nahi hain aur hamari report visa ke liye valid nahi hai.

Your questions

GAMCA / WAFID pre-medical FAQs

Is Edge Imaging a GAMCA or WAFID approved medical centre?

No. Edge Imaging & Diagnostics is not a GAMCA, WAFID or Gulf Health Council-approved centre and cannot issue GCC / WAFID slips, certificates or results. We offer a private pre-medical with the same tests, so you know your results before your official medical at an approved centre booked on wafid.com.

Where can I get a GAMCA pre-medical test in Delhi?

At Edge Imaging & Diagnostics, B-568-569, Raghubir Nagar, Tagore Garden Extension, West Delhi (110027). The full GCC test panel costs ₹4,999, all tests are done in one visit and the report is ready the same day. Book on WhatsApp or call 9599941470. It is a private pre-check — your official medical is still done at a GAMCA / WAFID-approved centre booked on wafid.com.

What is the difference between a GAMCA pre-medical and the official GAMCA medical?

The tests are the same. The official medical is done at a GHC-accredited centre booked on wafid.com; its result is uploaded to the WAFID system and decides your visa medical. A pre-medical is a private check at a regular diagnostic centre: the report is given only to you and is used to find and treat problems before the official medical.

Will my pre-medical report be accepted for my Gulf visa?

No. Only the result from a GHC-accredited centre, uploaded to the WAFID system, is accepted for a GCC visa. Our report is for your own information and preparation.

What tests are included in the ₹4,999 GAMCA pre-medical?

A doctor’s examination with BP, eyesight and colour vision; digital chest X-ray; HIV 1 & 2, hepatitis B (HBsAg), hepatitis C (anti-HCV) and VDRL (with TPHA if VDRL is positive); CBC with haemoglobin, malaria and filaria smear, blood sugar, liver and kidney function tests; urine and stool routine; and a pregnancy test for women.

When will I get my GAMCA pre-medical report?

The same day. All tests are done in one visit at our Raghubir Nagar centre, and a doctor explains your results so you know straight away whether anything needs attention.

Is my pre-medical result uploaded to WAFID or shared with my agent?

No. We are not connected to the WAFID system. Your report is given only to you, and we do not share it with agents or employers.

Can a pre-medical guarantee that I will pass the official medical?

No one can guarantee the official result — only the approved centre decides. What the pre-medical does is show you your results in advance, so treatable problems can be dealt with and you are not surprised on the day.

What are the most common reasons for being declared unfit in the GAMCA medical?

The GCC rules treat HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, active or past TB and other chest X-ray changes, malaria or filaria, uncontrolled diabetes or blood pressure, haemoglobin below 7 g/dL, pregnancy (for work visas), organ failure, cancer and certain other conditions as unfit. Some of these can be treated or controlled if found early. See the full list of GAMCA unfit reasons.

If I am declared unfit in WAFID, when can I take the medical again?

The WAFID FAQ says a new appointment can be booked 2 months after the date of the existing report; some sources mention 3 months. Permanent conditions remain unfit at a repeat medical.

How much does the GAMCA / WAFID medical cost in India?

The WAFID booking fee is US$10 (standard) or US$25 (premium). The approved-centre exam fee is not published officially; guide sites report about ₹7,500–8,500 in 2026. Our pre-medical costs ₹4,999.

How long is a GAMCA / WAFID medical certificate valid?

The certificate is valid for 2 months from issue under the Gulf Health Council rules. That is another reason to sort out any health problem before you book. Here is how to check your WAFID result and validity.

When should I take the pre-medical?

Ideally a few weeks before you book on wafid.com, so there is time to treat anything we find and re-check if needed.

Do I need to fast for the GAMCA pre-medical?

Yes. Fast for 8–10 hours before the blood tests; plain water is fine. Avoid alcohol, smoking and heavy meals for 24–48 hours before, and keep taking your regular medicines as prescribed.

GAMCA pre-medical kya hota hai?

Ye Gulf jaane se pehle hone waale official GAMCA / WAFID medical jaise hi saare tests ka ek private check-up hai. Report sirf aapko milti hai, kahin upload nahi hoti. Agar koi problem aati hai to aap pehle ilaaj karwa sakte hain. Hum approved centre nahi hain, official medical approved centre par hi hota hai.

GAMCA medical me unfit ho gaye to kya karein?

Chest X-ray me purana TB ka nishaan ho to kya GAMCA me unfit hote hain?

GCC rules me active ya purane TB ke nishaan, fibrosis ya calcification ko unfit maana jaata hai. Isliye pehle hi chest X-ray karwa kar radiologist se check karwa lena samajhdaari hai, taaki official medical ki fees lagaane se pehle aapko pata ho.
