How the OPG Is Taken
You stand or sit with your chin resting on a small support and bite gently on a positioner. You stay still while the machine rotates slowly around your head — the scan takes only about 10–20 seconds. It is completely painless. You will be asked to remove earrings, hairpins, spectacles and any metal or removable dental appliances first, as these can appear on the image.
